This is the fancy flyer for my Dec 2 show at Westbeth. I'm performing a big piece called The Exchange, along with, possibly, a new little tune if I can squeeze five more minutes out of the powers that be. The Exchange is as much a literary effort as a musical one, and really gets at the direction I've been going in my work over the past few years, combining original prose with novel ways to bring it out in a musical context. The new little tune, on the other hand, is wordless and features my Roland RS-09, sampled, along with B E A T S. I'll perform both pieces on a new setup: keys, sampler, laptop. It's the most streamlined instrument I've yet performed on and, ironically, I'll be transporting it to the gig in the biggest car I've ever owned. I hope to see you there!-A
