It's occurred to me that with all of this insane social media at my disposal I could just make tracks in the apartment and send them out into the world and, so long as I have a paycheck coming in from teaching something, I'll be happy as a clam. I know, it's a really obvious thing to realize, but it feels like a kind of resolution of all the tension about "making it" that sometimes gets inside my head. Of course I want things to go viral so I become some kind of Internet superstar, but I think there's a sort of incremental method to employ outside of that best (or is it worst?) case scenario. I am thinking of the scupltor-husband in the video we watched in childbirthing class, patiently doing his thing in the garden. Okay, NO ONE will get that reference. But picture a long-haired man in sandals somewhere in Mexico cracking rocks. Is that helpful? Likely it's not.
In any event, I am putting tracks up. As soon as the rain starts I will post a new one. And then I'm really going to have to make something new...
I hope all is well with you.
